As we usually end up with someone missing, invariably the person taking the shot, this time we've invested in two group shots to make sure that we get everyone:

Top-L-R: Garf, Sue, Lainey, John, Dawn, Julie, Rob, Kit, Paul, Polly, Jane & Kev.

Bottom-L-R: Garf, Sue, Lainey, Stu, Clive, Dawn, Julie, Kit, Polly, Jane, Kev & Rob .... Phew!

Before we get stuck into the report, we want to say how good it was to see a couple of new faces, Kev & Jane (Kevster), and how we all thoroughly enjoyed their company, and Kev's excellent riding.  It were a pleasure to have you along guys.  But, next time bring along some better weather!  Although it was dry to begin with, it wasn't exactly Spring warm!  And most of us suffered an hour or so of rain on the way home.  However, despite the British weather, we all had a thoroughly brilliant day.  The choice of roads was for ease of getting to Scarborough, but still offered some excellent biking whilst at the same time allowing very good progress.

The first meet-up was at Hoyland, in the depths of South Yorkshire.  Here Clive & Kit had the pleasure of their first meeting with Kev & Jane, and to get to see some old mates again; John & Dawn, and Rob & Julie.

After a quick chin-wag, we mounted up and forged our way across to Selby where we were meeting up with the rest of the gang.

And where John & Dawn could tuck into some bacon balms, ...... or two, .....

From Selby, now with more Ferret friends; Stu & Lainey, Garf & Sue and Paul & Polly, we cut a dash across the splendours of Yorkshire, with a small detour caused by the police having closed a road on our route!  Our snappily paced run to the coast was halted only for a short break and refuel just past Bainton

This was where our group photo was taken.

Oliver's Mount!

By the time we had got to Oliver's Mount, the temperature had dropped a little more, and a number of the pillions in particular, were a tad chilled!  We then found out that it was going to cost us £8 a piece to get into the races, which considering we were only planning to have a couple of hours taster, certainly didn't deliver value-for-money.

So, instead, we continued on down into Scarborough, and parked up by the Harbour in the motorcycle park.

The perfect opportunity for Fish & Chips, with Mushy Peas - heaven.  Plenty of mugs of tea and coffee, and more daft discourse about everything under the sun.

Here ya go Rob, as requested:  "Thanks for a good day out, really enjoyed it. I think I captured John passing wind, it looks like it to me, lol." ......... Sorry John!!!

Having had our fill of food and drink, and talked for England (well, the ladies certainly did) it was decided that it would be prudent to head for home.  Paul & Polly headed straight off back from Scarborough, whilst the rest of us made our way west and inland, towards the warmth, and on one of the areas most enjoyable biking roads to Thirsk.  However, before that, at Pickering, where we refuelled, we sadly parted company with Rob & Julie, John & Dawn and Kev & Jane.  This left Clive & Kit, Garf & Sue and Stu & Lainey to head further west and across into Lancashire, and home.

What a bloody belting day!  Great roads made so, so much better by the superb company.

Photos courtesy of Clive, Paul, Rob & John - thanks guys.
