2008 Planned Events

Sat/Sun 23/24th Aug	09:00	Ferret's Annual Weekend Event	Savour some of the best Scottish Borders' biking roads. Starting from Skipton we strike north through the Dales & Cumbria to the western Borders and our overnight stay in Melrose. We return to Skipton through Teesdale and the Dales down the eastern side.

Sun 28th Sept	Ferrets Go a'Ferreting	A riding & visual feast through the Forest & Trough of Bowland and Cumbria to Kirkby Stephen and the return delight back to Gisburn.
Sat/Sun 23/24th Aug	Ferret's Annual Weekend Event	Two wonderful days without rain and on some of the best biking roads on offer. The annual Ferrets weekend event to the Scottish Borders.
Sun 3rd Aug	Dales Déjà Vue Dawdle	An 80 mile easy day from Skipton to Ripon and back ... with an unpleasant surprise.
Sun 27th July	Pennine Meander	A run up & down from Holmfirth, backwards & forwards across t'Pennines.
Sun 20th July	Return of the Vampires	A perennial favourite enjoyed by a select few this year. A wonderful day out to Whitby.
Sun 25th May	Chimes' Birthday Run	A re-run of the My Other Bike's a .....' run, this time dedicated to Chime's Birthday.
Sun 11th May	Snakes and Ladders	A Peak District run out from and back to Holmfirth taking in Snake and Woodhead Passes amongst a smorgasbord of different roads and paces. Spectacular roads and views!
Sat/Sun 26/27th Jan	Ferrets Annual Social Event	Non-biking event at an hotel in Settle, North Yorkshire. Saturday & Sunday outings to be arranged.
Sun 6th Jan	Manchester National Bike Show	Not necessarily a riding event, but an early opportunity to get together by bike, car, train, or whatever suits.

21st-24th Nov	East Cape Extravaganza	The Southern Hemisphere Ferret's long weekend run to the East Cape report. Just to make us all in the Northern Hemisphere feel dead jealous!
Sun 4th Nov	Indian Summer Run	At very short notice, taking advantage of the Indian Summer forecast, a 130 mile run around the Yorkshire Dales out from & back to Skipton.
Sun 15th Jul	Jervaulx Jaunt	Refreshingly cool at the height of Summer J
Sat 16th Jun	The Boundary 500 Run	A 500 mile sponsored run around the Northeast, Cumbria and the Yorkshire Dales in aid of the Great North Air Ambulance.
Sun 13th May	Northwich Thundersprint	A day out at the Northwich races.
Sun 6th May	Dales Roof Run	The Sunday before the Bank Holiday Monday, a mixed easy day out in the Yorkshire Dales, starting from Holmfirth.
Sun 29th Apr	Stu's Run	At very short notice, a pacey run from the Yorkshire Dales (Skipton) to the North Yorks Moors and back.
Sun 22nd Apr	York Lasso	A lasso out from Skipton and back around York, taking in Ripon, Malton and Squire's Cafe.
Sun 25th Mar	Mike Hailwood Memorial Run	A ride down to this memorial run & service that starts in Aston, and the return ride.
Sat/Sun 27/28th Jan	Ferrets Annual Social Event	Non-biking event at an hotel in Settle, North Yorkshire. Saturday & Sunday outings have been arranged.
Sun 7th Jan	Manchester National Bike Show	Not necessarily a biking event - an early chance to get together by bike, car, train, or whatever suits.

Sun 19th Nov	Reindeerbulls's-Eye Run	Three very late season rides from three areas to The Squire's Cafe, Sherburn in Elmet.
Sun 15th Oct	End of Main Season Run	To the Rose & Crown, in Cark in Cartmel (on the edge of the Lake District), for their excellent carvery.
Sat/Sun 19/20th Aug	Annual Ferrets Weekend	Most of Wales in a Weekend!
Sun 13th Aug	Del's Run	A gem of a ride around Cumbria, Teesdale & the Dales.
Sun 30th July	Dales Loop	At very short notice: A gentle run around the Yorkshire Dales ... with the odd furious sections.
Sun 23rd July	A Shiver Down the Spine	A taxing run down the Pennines from Hawes to Ashbourne.
Sun 16th July	Passes All Expectations	Bounce back & forth across the Peak & Yorkshire Pennines. A short day run.
Sun 2nd July	Tickled Trout - Kendal - Hawes	A good selection of indirect but superb biking roads in a loop out from, and back to the Tickled Trout.
Sun 25th June	Ride of the Vampires	A classic run to Whitby repeated by popular request.
Thu-Mon 25-29th May	Five Day Tour of Scotland	A 5 day tour of the west coast of Scotland, including Skye. Now Fully Booked
Sun 14th May	Bring Your Own Kindling Run	A ride out and then the Stuey's housewarming.
Sun 7th May	Northwich Thundersprint	A day out at the sprint races.
Sun 30th April	Scarborough Festival of Speed	Anyone fancy a wonderful ride out to Scarborough for a few hours at Oliver's Mount?
Sun 16th April	Woodheys Club Easter Egg Run	A small south Manchester Egg Run followed by a short run out.
Sun 9th April	Bull's-Eye Run	Three early season rides from three areas to a common meet-up and short group ride.
Sun 26th March	Visit to the Infirm	Ride-Out & visit to see TRICKSTER in Blackpool.
Sat/Sun 4-5th March	NZ Central N. Island Ride-Out	A late Summer biking weekend down under.
Sat/Sun 28-29th Jan	Ferrets Inaugural Social	New identity celebrated in Skipton, North Yorkshire.
Sun 8th Jan	Manchester National Bike Show	Manchester GMEX Centre
